Barbaresco DOCG from the recognised biodynamic natural wine producing winery Cascina Roccalini located near Cuneo in Piemonte. The Nebbiolo grapes for this red wine come from the oldest vines on the Roccalini vineyard where some of the vines are over 60 years old. It is a lovely young wine where red fruit and earthy aromas are wrapped in complex and deep nuances with floral, herbaceous and balsamic flavours. It has a bouquet with notes of strawberries, dark roses, and ripe cherries and earthy aromas. The taste has a fine balance and juiciness, with elegant tannins. The finish is intense and long. It is a wine to be left to age a few more years in the bottle while waiting for its time to come, the time when the genuine finesse and maximum depth that Barbaresco can offer will emerge.

Cascina Roccalini is the dream of Paolo Veglio, a dream that was born in the heart of the Langhe, in the locality of Roccalini in Barbaresco. It was 2003 when Paolo, who had just graduated as an oenologist, decided to invest in the future of the family vineyards, those same grapes that until that moment were destined for the winery of Bruno Giacosa, one of the most famous negociant of the area, known for his ability to select only the best production areas.
Today, Cascina Roccalini's vineyards extend over 9 hectares, 4 of which will come into production in two years, for an annual production of about 25,000 bottles, divided between Barbaresco DOCG and Langhe Nebbiolo. Wines that, despite their variety, share the same complexity, elegance and depth. They are authentic expressions of the Barbaresco Langa, wines that tell the story and the territory with a precision and harmony that only time and love for the land can bestow.
