4 Filari Grillo from the small Sicilian family winery Case Alte, a winery that is deeply passionate about producing and continuously improving their quality wines from their excellent location in the hills in Camporeale near Palermo in Northwestern Sicily. This organic white wine is made from grillo grapes grown in clayish and sandy soil at an altitude 500 m. It is a lovely straw yellow wine with tropical notes like grapefruit, elderberry and fig trees in the bouquet. The taste is full-body, characterized by good acidity and great flavor on the finish.

For three generations the Vaccaro family has been producing wine in Camporeale, a small farming town in the province of Palermo; a hilly area characterized by particularly favorable soil and climatic conditions that give rise to an extraordinary production of wines with excellent organoleptic characteristics.
In 2010 the family built a small new winery to produce wine that expresses and shows the love for their land and for their vineyards with particular attention to issues of sustainability and of organic farming, but without forgetting the history and the care that previous generations have dedicated to every single bunch of grapes.
The vines for this Grillo wine have an age of 17 years. The vineyards are cultivated according to the principles for organic farming. The grapes were manually harvested, carefully sorted, destemmed and softly pressed followed by fermentation using indigenous yeasts in stainless tanks at 15°C. After decanting the wine was matured cold for 6 month on the lees in the tanks followed by 2 months in bottle.
