Anniversario 62 from the famous San Marzano Cooperative in Puglia. An intense ruby red wine from Southern Italy that will surprise positively. Made from Primitivo grapes this wine reflects the characters and terroir of Puglia. The bouquet is complex with fruity fragrances, hints of plum, cherry jam and tobacco, It is full-bodied, smooth and rich in tannins with a long finish with notes of cocoa.

San Marzano is a small village in the centre of the Primitivo di Manduria DOC region in the Italian province of Puglia. It is a strip of land kissed by the two seas of the Salento: the Ionian and the Adriatic. In 1962 the DOC appellation did not yet exist, and the Primitivo di Manduria was far from becoming a cult wine for wine lovers. Even so, 19 winemakers, determined to demonstrate the high potential of wines from Salento, founded “Cantine San Marzano”. A long time has passed since then, yet their old vines still produce rare and precious grapes. The result is this intense, elegant Primitivo wine that will age well.
