The Catarratto vines for the Beleda white wine have an age of 20 years and grow in the sandy vineyards at Cantina Rallo’s Patti Piccolo winery at Alcamo east of Trapani in Western Sicily at altitudes between 200 and 300 m.
The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted and destalked followed by 8 days fermentation without malolactic fermentation. The wine was matured for 6 months in stainless steel tanks followed by 2 month in the bottles.
