Flora Sauvignon from the famous Girlan Cooperative near Bolzano in the Alto-Adige region in Northern Italy is an elegant cool climate Sauvignon Blanc white wine. It is made from the best grapes grown in the mountain vineyards at an altitude of 500 m. The wine is characterized by an intense bouquet of nettle and elderflower and a fresh lively flavour typical of this grape. Its mineral nature and fresh acidity balance out in the aromas.

The Sauvignon Blanc vines grow in different combination of soils, from clay to lime and gravel giving this wine its unique character. The grapes were carefully picked by hand and sorted prior to destemming. After pressing the must was transfered into stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation took place at controlled temperature. The wine aged on the lees for 8 months in stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels without malolatic fermentation followed by a period in the bottle before release to the market.
