Shymer from the famous Sicilian producer Baglio di Pianetto. A highly awarded organic red wine with a name that reflects the grapes from which it is made – Shyraz and Merlot - full-bodied wine with a good harmony. Shymer clearly expresses the different peculiarities of the vines that make it up.

The Syrah vines for the Shymer red wine grow in Baglio Pianettos vineyards in Contrada Baroni in Noto near the sea outside Siracusa in Eastern Sicily at an altitude of 50 m, while the Merlot vines grow in vineyards at the Santa Cristina Gela winery outside Palermo in Northwestern Sicily at an altitude of 650 m.
The grapes were manually harvested, carefully sorted, destemmed and lightly pressed followed by spontaneous fermentation using natural yeasts. The wine was matured in French oak barriques for 12 months and in the bottles for 24 months.
