Nero d'Avola - Sicilia DOC from the organic winery La Giasira located near Siracusa in eastern Sicily. Made from Nero d’Avola grapes grown in calcareous soils, at an altitude between 180 and 250 m exposed to the Mediterranean climate. It is an intense ruby red coloured wine with a fresh and elegant bouquet with notes of berries, blackberry jam and delicate hints of tobacco. The taste is full-bodied witha fine structure and persistence and nicely balanced tannins. A wine of great longevity, character and at the same time of great elegance.
