The vines for the Vecchio Samperi white wine have an age of 20-42 years and grow in Marco De Bartoli’s vineyards outside Marsala in Western Sicily. An arid territory rich in limestone and minerals.

The grapes were manually harvested, sorted, and destemmed followed by traditional fermentation in oak and chestnut vats at room temperature.

The ageing to place in oak and chestnut vats for an average of 20 years, with an addition of 5% of younger wine every year, using the traditional perpetual method, similar to Soleras. This method allows creation of a harmonious blend of different vintages, with a unique and inimitable taste.

Colour: Golden yellow.

Bouquet: Intense and very refined complexity. Aromatic and evolving notes blend with hints of fruit jam and balsamic notes and sweet spices.

Taste: Dense palate, with great structure and softness. Slightly hot, it develops strongly and leaves the taster with disarming freshness.
