The Alto Adige valley, opening to the south of the Alps, allows Mediterranean influences to penetrate towards the north. The level of precipitation, the large variations in temperature between night and day and the variety of the soil in the differing locations ensure high grape quality and a wide spectrum of aromas. The hard work of the grape growers in the vineyards and the careful subsequent processing by the cellar master produces finally balanced, authentic wines. South Tyrol’s white wines are at the forefront of the art of winemaking in Italy. The Sauvignon Festival is the ultimate result of all these elements.
