The J. Hofstätter winery is located in Tramin-Termeno in Alto Adige (Südtyrol). Gewürztraminer has been grown in this region in milleniums. This grape variety yields elegant dry wines with harmonious acidity in the South Tyrol Alps. The grapes ripen quite slowly in the persistent coolness and are handpicked in November. At this point they are beginning to shrivel and are particularly flavourful. The Joseph Gewürztraminer is a highly individual wine and a copybook gewürztraminer.
