The Petit Verdot vines for the Verdò red wine grow in Barone Sergio‘s vineyards in the Valley of Noto close to Siracusa and near the sea in Southeastern Sicily at an altitude of 70 m. The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted and destalked followed by fermentation on the skins in stainless steel tanks. The wine was matured for 12-15 months partly in steel tanks and partly in French oak-barriques followed by 6-8 months in the bottles.
Colour: Ruby red with violet reflections.
Bouquet: On the nose memories of wild and rich ripe fruits.
Taste: Full-body and round with a great concentration of fruits.
Longevity 3-5 years.
