The Nero d'Avola is a beautiful red wine from the famous House of Tasca d'Almerita in Palermo. This is a young wine from low yielding vines which guarantee a high quality and concentrated wine partly aged in wood and partly in steel tanks. This wine is fresh with the fruity notes of a young wine, having elegant spicy and liquorish aromas, which are usually indicators of good ageing potential.

The vines for the Nero d’Avola red wine grow in the vineyards at Tasca d’Almerita’s Sallier de La Tour winery outside Monreale near Palermo in western Sicily at an altitude of 300-400 m.
