The Merlot from the renowned wine producer Cantine Fina is a ruby red wine made solely from Merlot grapes grown in vineyards at an altitude of 350 m. in western Sicily. It is a young and fresh wine made from young vines. It has a bouquet with hints of blackcurrant, ripe plum and notes of pepper and blueberries. The taste is rich and round, with soft and smooth tannins. A lovely everyday wine.

The Cantine Fina follows a tradition of winemaking that started thousands of years ago when the Greek and Phoenician settlements on the Sicilian west coast started the cultivation of grapes.
In Italy, Merlot has found ideal environmental conditions in many northern regions since the nineteenth century, but it is now widespread with truly surprising results even in Sicily, precisely because Merlot, in adapting to this climate with a strong solar imprint shows another aspect of its versatility personality, with warmer and spicier flavors.
