The Domaine du Haut Perron Rouge from the old family winery Domaine Guy Allion in the Loire region in central France is a lovely red wine made from Malbec and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in clay-limestone soil. It has a powerful bouquet with notes of ripe and candied black fruits, such as black cherries and prunes. The taste is supple and soft with silky tannins that provides elegance and balance.
